First ever 4wd experience.....

Ivan was kind enough to let us take a ride in his brother-in-law's Subaru Ver-8 STI which is my favourite model of all of the Subaru line-up.

That's all for the night.

What i learnt from this, 4wd asks you to push harder and harder. Compared to rear wheel driven or FR, You know its limits and wont push it over the boundary. But with 4wd, You'll push it on and on just like an unlimited traction it provides. Until you lose your traction and either understeer at front or the 4 wheel slides together. But there's something that FR wouldn't dare to do nor would be able to do, Gripping corners at WOT.

Conclusion: 4wd has better traction while you'll need to know its limits. While with FR, You'll know its limits but wont push on as hard as 4wd depending on application, car, setting & driver's capability.
